The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gallagher isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Stpierre stacks Gallagher on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Stpierre!

Gallagher shoots in looking for a takedown but Stpierre manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gallagher's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Stpierre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Gallagher closes the distance and clinches up with Stpierre, looking for a takedown. Gallagher pushes Stpierre against the cage but Stpierre circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Well Stpierre has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
