The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santiago avoids a punch combination nicely.
Santiago throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Santiago smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Santiago stuffs the takedown attempt from Brandon. Brandon gets slowly back to his feet.
Brandon is trying hard to land a takedown here. Santiago sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Santiago.
Brandon shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Santiago but Santiago pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ricardo Santiago has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Buddy Brandon.
Brandon drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Santiago sends Brandon crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Santiago is motioning to the referee to let Brandon up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Santiago throws an overhand right that drops Brandon like a sack of potatoes! Santiago dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

In his post fight interview, Ricardo Santiago started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
