Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Waterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xavier Nogueira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Waterson has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nogueira is trying hard to land a takedown here. Waterson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Nogueira tries a head kick but it misses.
Waterson shoots for a double leg takedown but Nogueira sprawls well. He's pushed Waterson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nogueira should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Nogueira shoots in looking for a takedown but Waterson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Nogueira's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Nogueira closes the distance and clinches up with Waterson, looking for a takedown. Nogueira pushes Waterson against the cage but Waterson circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Waterson as Nogueira shoots in.
Xavier Nogueira seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nogueira throws the left hand but Waterson avoids the punch easily.
Nogueira fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
