Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Miller!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, David Schapiro and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Honeyville dodges the punch combination from Miller.
Miller circles away from the clinch attempt

and Miller counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Miller manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Honeyville sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Honeyville trying to control but Miller is working from the bottom.
Honeyville is looking to stand up but Miller won't let him.
Honeyville postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Honeyville avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Honeyville stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Miller swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Miller working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Honeyville doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Honeyville manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Miller is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Miller seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Honeyville does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Honeyville looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Miller is fending him off so far but Honeyville persists. Nope, Miller circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Miller, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Honeyville shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Honeyville looks for a takedown but Miller sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Drew Honeyville. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Honeyville throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Miller sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Miller moves into the clinch successfully.
Honeyville is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Honeyville wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Miller pulls guard successfully.
Honeyville missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Miller looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Let's hope that Miller has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. James Miller wasn't active enough on the ground.

Miller closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Miller wants to lay and pray for a moment but Honeyville keeps working.

Miller decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Miller stuffs the takedown attempt from Honeyville. Honeyville gets slowly back to his feet.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Miller smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Miller feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Honeyville can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Miller controls the pace.

OK we're going to have a standup here. James Miller hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Miller gets to his feet. Honeyville looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

James Miller showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Oooh a big shot gets through from Miller. Many more shots like that and the referee will have to think about stepping in!
Miller just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Miller lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by Miller.

Miller is not going to allow Honeyville to sit and survive in this position.
Miller doesn't have the hooks in and Honeyville manages to turn into his guard.

Honeyville trying to control the position from guard on top but Miller is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Miller looking to hit a scissor sweep but Honeyville is one step ahead there.

Honeyville loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.

Miller manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.

Honeyville wants to control from the top but Miller keeps moving.

Honeyville wants to stand but Miller has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Miller has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

James Miller comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Miller has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
