Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rufus Bond!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gipping John!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond shoots in but John avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Bond really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bond fails with a takedown attempt.
Bond swats away the attempt to clinch by John.
John avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

John fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bond, pushing him back against the cage.
Bond tries to score a body lock takedown but John shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rufus Bond. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Bond jumps guard and drags John to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
John throwing strikes from guard but Bond blocks nicely.
John is stalling in the full guard.

John slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bond seems a little lost for a moment, as John dominates the positioning.

John decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bond to his feet.
Gipping John seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bond will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Horrible takedown attempt by John or perhaps it was just good defense by Bond, which made it look bad.
Bond circles away from the clinch attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bond shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with John but John pushes him off and we're back to square one.

John is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Bond's half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bond looks like he's trying to stand up.
John is thwarting Bond's attempts to control the position.
Bond is looking to improve his position.

John performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
John is trying to control. Bond wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
John has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
John wants to control the pace but Bond is squirming around nicely.

John with shots to the head and body - Bond looks very uncomfortable down there.


It looks like Rufus Bond has been cut.
Bond is squirming around, avoiding John's attempts to control the action.
John unloads with some vicious shots from mount and Bond wants out - he looks towards the referee who steps in to save him! John celebrates on the cage and the crowd goes wild!
