Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denis Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mahmud Magomedov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Denis Burns has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Denis Burns seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns throws an off balance right hand
and Magomedov counters with a head kick. That will keep Burns thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Magomedov clinches up with Burns and pushes him back against the cage.

Burns throws a hook to the side of Magomedov's head but Magomedov sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Burns definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

and Burns counters with a straight right hand.

Burns shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Magomedov pinned against the cage. Magomedov gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Denis Burns. That's going to take a lot out of him.

The fight stays on the outside here - Magomedov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Burns had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Magomedov defends it easily.
Magomedov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Burns bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Magomedov's guard.

Burns is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Magomedov has his hands clasped together but Burns extends and breaks Magomedov's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Burns.
