Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mang Kanor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Giuseppe Luca (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Giuseppe Luca will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luca misses with a looping right.
Kanor displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Luca throws out the jab.
Luca misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Kanor uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Luca.

Luca tries to bum rush Kanor with a series of wild strikes but Kanor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kanor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Luca really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kanor. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Kanor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Luca to his feet.

Luca misses with an uppercut. Kanor saw that one coming.

Luca wants to clinch but Kanor slips to the side
and Kanor counters with a big head kick but Luca shrugs it off.
Luca throws a series of punches but Kanor moves out of range.
Luca throws a jab but it's blocked by Kanor.
Luca lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Kanor gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Kanor goes for a takedown attempt but Luca pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Luca throws a sloppy head kick
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.

Luca throws a right hand that Kanor ducks under and follows up with a left that Kanor also avoids with ease.
Kanor takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

The fighters circle momentarily. Luca darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kanor shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Luca defends it nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Luca throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Kanor sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Luca might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kanor dives in and grabs Luca's left leg, looking for a takedown. Luca pushes down on Kanor's head and hops out.
Luca throws an overhand right that lands on Kanor's shoulder, as Kanor tries to avoid the shot.
Kanor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Luca ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kanor moves away.
Luca tries to bum rush Kanor with a series of wild strikes but Kanor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Luca wants to break the clinch but can't.
Luca is trying to maintain a safe position but Kanor gets an underhook and turns Luca into the cage.
Luca tries to score a body lock takedown but Kanor shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Kanor is pushing Luca up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Kanor escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kanor avoids a punch combination nicely.
Kanor dives in for a single leg takedown but Luca sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Kanor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kanor slips a jab and a cross from Luca.

Kanor shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Kanor showed some decent athleticism there.

Luca pushes Kanor off looking to stand but Kanor dives back in and keeps control.

Kanor passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Luca!

Kanor seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Luca for as long as he can get away with.
Kanor lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.

Kanor is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Luca has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
