Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Elvin Potts!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ted Grant!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grant avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Potts tries to close the distance and clinch but Grant swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Potts shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Grant is trying to defend but Potts finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Grant shoots in looking for a takedown. Potts tries to sprawl out of it but Grant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Potts manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Grant goes for a double leg but Potts avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Potts continues to drive forward.

Grant bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Potts's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Grant dives in and grabs Potts's left leg, looking for a takedown. Potts pushes down on Grant's head and hops out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Grant tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
