Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macko closes the distance and clinches up with Mejia, looking for a takedown. Macko pushes Mejia against the cage but Mejia circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Mejia really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Macko has a takedown stuffed.
Macko throws a combination that misses

Macko moves in looking to clinch but Mejia pushes him off.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mejia accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Macko tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mejia defends well and Macko ends up having to push Mejia into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Macko has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mejia after a bit of a struggle.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Mejia shoots in but Macko avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Mejia changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Macko looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Macko is looking to regain half guard here but Mejia keeps moving and retains side control.

Mejia thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mejia knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Macko on the ground.

Macko is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mejia is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Macko has escaped the position, nice work there.

Macko fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Macko fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mejia avoids it really well and circles away.
Macko leaves Mejia with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Mejia cracks Macko with a right hand to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Lavern Mejia will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Clinched against the cage, Macko lands a big elbow that drops Mejia! The ref dives in to save him from more shots - Mejia is complaining that he's OK but he was done.
