Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jermain Chambers!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Phil Schofield and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chambers shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Chambers prevents Atkinson from improving his position.

Atkinson actively working from the bottom here.
Atkinson pushes Chambers off looking to stand but Chambers dives back in and keeps control.
Chambers is trying to control the action in half guard but Atkinson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Atkinson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Chambers's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Chambers's back!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Jermain Chambers will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Chambers throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Atkinson was covering up waiting for the punch and Chambers finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Atkinson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Chambers wants to control from the top but Atkinson keeps moving.

That was a close second round but I would say that Russ Atkinson will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!


Chambers throws a low kick but it's checked well by Atkinson.

Chambers got a little sloppy there for a moment and Atkinson has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Chambers has managed to get both his arms back between Atkinson's legs - danger averted.

Atkinson is looking for a kimura but Chambers is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Atkinson to get the leverage.

Atkinson keeps control of Chambers as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Atkinson has his foot on Chambers's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Chambers works his way back into a safe position though.

I would just about give that final round to Jermain Chambers.
I think Chambers has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
