Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Nick Gray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wilson Bascon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gray's entrance music is Skindred - Warning. A fine choice. Bascon comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Canon Rock kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Nick Gray has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gray tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bascon defends well and Gray ends up having to push Bascon into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Bascon gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Bascon is trying to work for a kimura but Gray is defending well.
Gray wants to improve his position but Bascon is controlling well.

Gray bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bascon's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Gray shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bascon's guard.
Gray really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Bascon holds on and takes a little breather.

That was a close round but I would say that Nick Gray will probably get the nod.

Gray gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bascon scores with a big shot! Gray's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Gray! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

In his post fight interview, Wilson Bascon started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
