The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Willems throws a lazy right hand but Gonzales sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Gonzales throws a looping overhand right but Willems ducks down to avoid it.
Willems ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Gonzales moves away.

Gonzales tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Willems manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Willems loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gonzales scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Willems land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Willems stands and salutes the crowd.
