Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darren Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Bruce (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Williams comes to the cage accompanied by Date With The Night. Darren Williams has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Bruce!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Glass and Sam Margolis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Bruce looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Williams closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Williams lands in his opponent's guard.
Williams trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Bruce really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Williams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Williams trying to control but Bruce is working from the bottom.
Williams won't allow Bruce to get back to his feet.

Bruce has his foot on Williams's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Williams works his way back into a safe position though.

Williams thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Williams works over Bruce with some ground and pound from guard.

Williams stands and steps away. Bruce gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

and Bruce counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bruce not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Bruce decides to stand up.
Bruce closes the distance but Williams moves to the side
and Williams counters with a leg kick.
Bruce looks gassed!
Bruce misses with a takedown

and Williams counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Williams is working for a kimura but Bruce is defending it quite comfortably.

Williams stands up and beckons Bruce to join him on the feet.

Bruce tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Williams counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Bruce's guard now.
Williams is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Williams works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Williams decides to stand up.

Bruce stuffs the takedown attempt from Williams. Williams gets slowly back to his feet.

and Williams counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Bruce is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Williams is controlling him.

Williams passes Bruce's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Williams trying to control the action but Bruce is working from the bottom.

Bruce wants to get back to his feet.
Bruce is refusing to be controlled, as Williams sits in half guard.
Williams moves into full mount! Bruce won't be happy about that!

Williams looking to secure an arm triangle but Bruce defends it well.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bruce can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Darren Williams dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Bruce gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Williams counters with a single leg into guard. Bruce didn't expect that.
Bruce is trying to control the position but Williams postures up.

Williams passes the guard and advances to mount!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Williams is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Bruce is surviving well by controlling Williams's body position as best he can.

Bruce tries to control Williams's body but Williams pushes him off. Bruce squirms to his side and now Williams has his back!

Bruce is looking to escape here. Oh dear - Williams has locked on a rear naked choke here! Bruce is tapping out! The fight is over!
