Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Al Snow!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snow shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as General sprawls well. General wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Snow gets slowly back to his feet.
Snow shoots in for a takedown but General shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Snow connects with the punch.
Snow pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
General fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Snow avoids it really well and circles away.
Snow looks to land a left hand but General moved out of range nicely.
Nice cross by Snow.


It looks like Johnny General has been cut.
Snow connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between General's hands.
General keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
General uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Snow.
Snow misses with a shot to the body
and General counters with a stiff right hand.

That's one minute gone in the round.
General avoids the body shot from Snow.
A looping hook to the body misses from Snow. General does a little dance to reset his feet.
Snow throws a low kick but it's checked well by General.
General walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
General changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Snow tries to avoid it but General manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Snow to the ground. Snow escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Snow throws an ugly left hook that misses
and General makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
General jabs at Snow's body.
General bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Snow gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Come on General - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
General is looking to take this one to the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Johnny General. That's going to take a lot out of him.

General gets control of Snow's arms and successfully pulls guard. General will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Snow trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Snow looking to sit in guard and control but General gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Snow is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst General is controlling him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
General loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
General won't allow Snow to get back to his feet.

General is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
General trying to control but Snow is working from the bottom.
General engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

Johnny General has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Snow throws a big shot that misses.

and General counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Snow's guard now.

Snow keeping moving, preventing General from controlling successfully.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Johnny General just wasn't active enough.
Snow lands a nice leg kick that just misses General's sensitive parts.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
General is looking to clinch but Snow is avoiding it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Snow jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Snow fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but General avoids it really well and circles away.
Nice defenses there by General.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from General.

General closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Snow to the mat! Snow manages to get full guard.
General wants to control from the top but Snow keeps moving.

General steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Snow.
General takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Snow ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Snow looks to land a right hand but General moved out of range.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Snow enables General to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Snow manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
General controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
General won't allow Snow to get back to his feet.
General sitting in guard, not really doing much.
General prevents Snow from getting back to his feet.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Johnny General just wasn't active enough.
Snow looks for a takedown but General sprawls well.

Snow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

General successfully pulls guard.

General uses the cage to get back to his feet.
General is trying hard to land a takedown here. Snow sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

General seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
General ducks under a wild hook from Snow.
Snow swats away the attempt to clinch by General.

Snow wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Snow as General tries to tie him up.
Snow has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
General wants a takedown.

Snow gets underhooks to prevent General's takedown attempt.
Snow wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Snow is trying to break the clinch but General is controlling him.

General drags the fight down to the ground.

General kicks Snow off and gets to his feet.
General takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Snow rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but General moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Snow pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Snow connects with a body shot.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Nice sprawl there from General as Snow shoots in.
Snow will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Snow closes the distance but General moves to the side
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Al Snow will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Snow cracks General with an open hand slap.
General on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
General slips under a jab from Snow.
Snow scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Snow feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Generals jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Snow missing with a left hand there. General was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Snow throws a left and a right that both miss
and General counters with a body kick that stops Snow in his tracks momentarily.
General defending well as Snow loads up on a big left hand.
Snow moves in looking to clinch but General pushes him off.
This has been an exciting period of action!
General ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
General takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Snow scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. General doesn't seem bothered though.

Snow goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Snow throws an ugly left hook that misses

and General counters with a nice double leg into side control. Snow won't be happy with that.
Snow is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
General wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snow keeps working.
General controls the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
General misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Snow pushes General away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, General gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Snow throws General to one side and escapes!
Snow works the jab nicely.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Snow just misses with a punch to the body.
Snow throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Johnny General is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Snow throws a big shot that misses.
Snow connects with a single shot there.
General shoots in but no luck this time.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Snow connects with a looping right hand.
General slips a jab and a cross from Snow.
Snow takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Snow throws a right and a left that both miss.
General tries to move into range but Snow moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
General takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Snow lands a glancing blow to the side of General's head.
General fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

General instigates a clinch.

Snow jumps into guard, dragging General to the mat.

Snow is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. General presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

General gets a trip takedown into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

General is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Snow has managed to free his arm - good work.
General wants to free his trapped foot but Snow is holding on for dear life with his legs.
General not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Johnny General has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Al Snow is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Snow is trying to stand.

Al Snow comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Snow winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
