Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lukas Chisel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Nickles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chisel kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nie zapomnij gdzie sie urodziłeś. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Yves DeLean and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chisel throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
A head kick misses from Nickles.
Chisel lands with a cross.
Chisel seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Chisel throws a lazy uppercut
and Nickles counters with a two punch combo.
Chisel swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Chisel wants to clinch
and Nickles counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nickles slips under a jab from Chisel.
A lazy left from Nickles finds it's target.
Nickles misses with a straight left.
Nickles looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
A swing and a miss from Chisel.

Chisel is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Chisel moves out of range of the body kick.
Chisel misses with a hook
and Nickles counters with a shoot takedown. Chisel fights it but they end up in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Chisel is trying to keep Nickles in close.
Nickles trying to control but Chisel is working from the bottom.
Nickles trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Chisel is looking for a triangle but Nickles pushes his legs off easily.
Nickles trying to control the position from guard on top but Chisel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Nickles throwing strikes from guard but Chisel blocks nicely.
Nickles is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Chisel is really struggling to control Nickles but he's trying to hold on to the position.

Nickles is pushing down on Chisel's leg trying to pass to half guard. Chisel is fighting to maintain full guard but Nickles has managed to sneak the leg through.
Nickles with the ground and pound but Chisel uses the opportunity to regain guard.

Nickles trying to control the position from guard on top but Chisel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Nickles drops back looking for a leg! Chisel is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Chisel manages to kick Nickles off! Nickles jumps back into Chisel's guard.
Nickles loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Nickles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Chisel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nickles on the ground.
Chisel working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Nickles has passed into half guard!
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Chisel is looking for a sweep. Nickles is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nickles wants to work for an arm triangle but Chisel is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Nickles stalling away here and it's allowed Chisel to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Chisel had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Nickles defends it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nickles throws a head kick that misses.

Nickles jabs Chisel right on the nose. Chisel blinks but takes it well.
Nickles moves away from the strike by Chisel.
Chisel avoids a kick to the body.
Nickles closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nickles lands in his opponent's guard.

Chisel not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Nickles working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
My spies in Slaughterhouse MMA inform me that Nickles has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Nickles drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Nickles as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Chisel screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Nickles! Nice submission victory there!

A relieved looking Nathan Nickles thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
