The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goncalves looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sobral is fending him off so far but Goncalves persists. Nope, Sobral circles away and we're back to standing.
Sobral throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Goncalves jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sobral walks away with a smile on his face. Goncalves gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Goncalves has closed the distance and engaged Sobral in a clinch.

Goncalves has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Sobral regains guard immediately.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Sobral wants to stand up but Goncalves is controlling him.
