The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Tate misses with a body kick.
Tate tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Johnson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Tate walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
