The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mir fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lesnar avoids it really well and circles away.

Brock Lesnar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Mir.
Mir misses with a takedown attempt - Lesnar sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Mir counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Lesnar's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mir got a little sloppy there for a moment and Lesnar has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mir has managed to get both his arms back between Lesnar's legs - danger averted.

Mir tries to free his leg and advance position but Lesnar is retaining full guard.

Lesnar has his feet on Mir's thighs here. He's pushed Mir off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Mir screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!
