Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Pale Monster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chan Sung Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Monster's entrance music is Therapy . A fine choice. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Chan Sung Aoki enters the cage!

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chan Sung Aoki!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki misses with a leg kick

and Monster decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Aoki's guard.
Aoki pulls Monster in to control the position.
Monster trying to control but Aoki is working from the bottom.
Aoki lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Monster wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Aoki is now in half guard.
Monster tries to get to full guard but Aoki has control of the leg.
Monster is trying to maintain the position but Aoki is very close to passing his half guard.

My spies in Slaughterhouse MMA inform me that Aoki has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends!

Monster wants to improve his position but Aoki is controlling well.
Aoki lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Aoki is nestled in close to Monster, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Monster is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Aoki pulls his head out easily.
Aoki winds up and cracks Monster with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Aoki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Monster doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aoki.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Chan Sung Aoki.
Aoki throws a leg kick but Monster checks it.
Monster looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Monster tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Aoki moves away from the strike by Monster.
Monster avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Monster moves to clinch but Aoki breaks away
and Aoki counters with a leg kick.

Monster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aoki.
Aoki explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.
Monster throws a series of punches but Aoki avoids them all with ease.
Monster loads up on a big right hand but Aoki slips the punch.
Monster has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Aoki.
Monster lands a nice shot to the body.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Monster tries to clinch but Aoki moves away
and Aoki counters with an inside leg kick.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aoki throws a jab but it's blocked by Monster.
Monster shoots in but Aoki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chan Sung Aoki dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Monster throws a nice looking combination but Aoki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Aoki leaves Monster with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Monster throws a big shot that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Monster takes one to the side of the head.
Monster shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Monster tries to close the distance and clinch up but Aoki swats him away and circles back towards the center.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Monster is defended easily by Aoki.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pale Monster. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Aoki thows a body kick. Monster tries to catch it but that hurt him.

and Aoki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Monster throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Aoki counters with a straight right hand.
Monster takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

Monster throws a predictable looking body shot
and Aoki makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Oh Monster is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Aoki throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Monster seems to have got his legs back now.
Monster darts in trying to clinch
and Aoki counters with a head kick that crumples his opponent - he's in a world of trouble! Aoki looks at the referee who does nothing so Aoki lands a crushing right that sends Monster to the floor! This time the ref steps in to end the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Chan Sung Aoki!
Chan Sung Aoki gave a mention to REAR NAKED CHOKE NUTRITION in his post fight interview. That will please them (and hopefully generate some sales).
In defeat, Pale Monster stepped up to the mic, saying 'Fought a good fight, beat me, that's all there is.'.
