Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julian LaVarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dylan Llewellyn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dylan Llewellyn will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julian LaVarr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dylan Llewellyn!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

LaVarr gets a takedown into half guard.
Llewellyn trying to hold on to LaVarr's head to control him but LaVarr postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LaVarr seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
LaVarr is trying to control the action in half guard but Llewellyn is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

LaVarr looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

LaVarr is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Llewellyn as he works his way to full guard.

LaVarr postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Llewellyn is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Llewellyn trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.

LaVarr stands and steps away. Llewellyn gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Llewellyn.
LaVarr manages to get back to half guard.
Llewellyn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Llewellyn controlling the action here.
LaVarr keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
LaVarr is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
LaVarr is trying to maintain the position but Llewellyn is very close to passing his half guard.
LaVarr might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
LaVarr misses with some strikes from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
LaVarr is trying to get back to full guard.

LaVarr is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Llewellyn trying to control the action but LaVarr is working from the bottom.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

LaVarr throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Llewellyn tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. LaVarr is in Llewellyn's guard.
LaVarr is working Llewellyn over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

LaVarr got a little sloppy there for a moment and Llewellyn has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, LaVarr has managed to get both his arms back between Llewellyn's legs - danger averted.
Llewellyn tries to land a sweep but no joy.
LaVarr working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Llewellyn's head.
Llewellyn is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

LaVarr is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Llewellyn working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from LaVarr.

LaVarr gets to his feet. Llewellyn looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
LaVarr dives in and grabs Llewellyn's left leg, looking for a takedown. Llewellyn pushes down on LaVarr's head and hops out.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

LaVarr gets a double leg takedown into Llewellyn's guard.
Llewellyn manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. LaVarr manages to get himself to full guard.
Llewellyn trying to control the position from guard on top but LaVarr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!



Llewellyn drives through with a takedown into guard.
LaVarr wants to sweep but no luck.
LaVarr wants to improve his position but instead Llewellyn has moved into half guard.
LaVarr trying to control but Llewellyn postures up.
Llewellyn tries to pass the half guard into mount. LaVarr knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Julian LaVarr overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
LaVarr is looking to control Llewellyn's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can LaVarr avoid being mounted?

LaVarr throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Llewellyn escapes and gets back to his feet.
Llewellyn wants to clinch up but LaVarr keeps it at a distance.
LaVarr will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Llewellyn shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Llewellyn showed some decent athleticism there.
LaVarr tries to roll over but Llewellyn keeps him under control.
Llewellyn trying to control the action but LaVarr is working from the bottom.

LaVarr is positioning himself well to prevent Llewellyn advancing to mount.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dylan Llewellyn has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Llewellyn lands with a kick to the temple. LaVarr shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dylan Llewellyn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

LaVarr takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

LaVarr is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Llewellyn has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Llewellyn!

Llewellyn gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Llewellyn tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Julian LaVarr is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
LaVarr looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
LaVarr lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Llewellyn avoids the head kick by LaVarr.
LaVarr fails to land the takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julian LaVarr. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Llewellyn forces LaVarr back against the cage and clinches.
Llewellyn throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but LaVarr blocks it with crossed arms.

Llewellyn manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Llewellyn takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
LaVarr controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
LaVarr trying to control the position from guard on top but Llewellyn is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Julian LaVarr wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Llewellyn tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but LaVarr paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

and Llewellyn counters with a stiff right hand.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Dylan Llewellyn.
I think Llewellyn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
