Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kezz The Convict!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Leandro Rodrigues and Emerson Jorge.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The Convict darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Snijder is refusing to be controlled, as The Convict sits in half guard.

The Convict is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Snijder defends it well.
The Convict wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snijder keeps working.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw The Convict working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. The Convict connects with a nice short shot to Snijder's temple.
The Convict wants to lay and pray for a moment but Snijder keeps working.

Snijder is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but The Convict pulls his head out easily.

We've been hearing good reports from Snijder's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The Convict is nestled in close to Snijder, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

The Convict is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Snijder is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
