Van Beethoven 's entrance music is Beethoven-Symphony 7. A fine choice. The crowd seem to be enjoying Mir's choice of entrance music: SURF RIDER!!! by The lively ones!. Wolfgang Van Beethoven has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Beethoven gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Mir to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Mir pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Van Beethoven is keeping the position for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Mir is fighting to break Van Beethoven 's control of his arms but Van Beethoven is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Van Beethoven looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mir has picked Van Beethoven up and slammed him! Van Beethoven can't keep hold of the triangle and Mir manages to pass to side control!
