The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shimazu moves into range and clinches up with Mayo.

Shimazu swings wildly with an uppercut but Mayo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Shimazu as Mayo tries to tie him up.
Shimazu lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
Shimazu told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.
Mayo tries to stall but Shimazu uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Shimazu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Mayo just misses with a elbow thrown towards Shimazu's brow.

Shimazu lands a left hand that snaps the head of Mayo backwards.
Oh Mayo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Shimazu creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Mayo's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Mayo drops to his knees and Shimazu pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Shimazu!
An out of breath and clearly excited William Shimazu thanked Conquer for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
