Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Snoop Dogg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vinny Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kato fails with a takedown attempt.

Dogg drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Kato is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dogg trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Dogg wants to stand but Kato is controlling his posture from full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Snoop Dogg has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kato looks for the body kick but Dogg saw that one coming.

Kato fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dogg avoids it really well and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Kato is defended easily by Dogg.
Snoop Dogg has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Vinny Kato.

Dogg closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Dogg pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Kato doesn't manage to clinch there - Dogg circles away.
A lazy left from Kato finds it's target.
Dogg tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Kato manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Kato tries to sprawl but Dogg drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Dogg is taking a breather. Kato says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Kato pushes Dogg off and gets back to his feet.
Kato tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Dogg manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Dogg misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vinny Kato seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kato gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Dogg to score an easy takedown into full guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Dogg trying to control the position from guard on top but Kato is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Dogg is really struggling to control Kato but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Dogg is pushing down on Kato's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kato is fighting to maintain full guard but Dogg has managed to sneak the leg through.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Dogg tries to stand but can't do so whilst Kato controls his leg.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Kato scoring well with a low kick there.
Dogg circles away from the clinch attempt.
Dogg fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kato tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Dogg defends well and Kato ends up having to push Dogg into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Kato's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dogg blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Dogg breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Kato fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Dogg checks it well.
Dogg keeps the fight on the outside.

Dogg moves into range and clinches up with Kato.
Kato is working for takedown but Dogg is calmly controlling the position for now.
Kato tries to circle away but Dogg has him pinned against the cage.

Dogg breaks the clinch.
Dogg shoots in but Kato avoids the takedown attempt easily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kato looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Nice sprawl there from Kato as Dogg shoots in.
Kato moves in looking to clinch but Dogg pushes him off.
Kato misses with a combination
and Dogg counters with a stiff right hand.

Dogg fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kato sprawls well initially but Dogg persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Kato is breathing heavily.
Dogg works his foot free and advances to mount.
Dogg really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kato is trying to stand but he's not in a good position to be doing that! Dogg has taken his back!

Dogg is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Kato. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped.
Kato is trying to remain composed but Dogg is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

I would not like to be Kato right now.
Kato really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dogg. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Dogg is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Kato with him. Kato is trying to defend but Dogg has an arm under the chin now! Kato grimaces and is forced to tap out!
