The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Magamedov tries to land a body kick
and Obregon counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Obregon tries for a takedown but Magamedov circles away easily

and Magamedov counters with a shoot takedown. Obregon fights it but they end up in guard.

Magamedov drops back looking for a leg! Obregon is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Obregon manages to kick Magamedov off! Magamedov jumps back into Obregon's guard.
Obregon looking for a sweep. Not yet Obregon, not yet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Magamedov postures up.

Magamedov decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Obregon, up you get!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Obregon fakes the leg kick and cracks Magamedov in the body.
Obregon scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Obregon tries to clinch but Magamedov moves away

and Magamedov counters by clinching up.
Magamedov is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Obregon is defending well.
Obregon wants to take the fight to the mat but Magamedov manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Obregon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gio Obregon. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Obregon is trying to break the clinch but Magamedov has him pressed against the cage.

Magamedov pulls Obregon into guard.
Obregon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Magamedov on the ground.
Magamedov seems keen to control Obregon's posture.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Magamedov is on top in guard.
Magamedov prevents Obregon from getting back to his feet.
Magamedov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Magamedov working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Magamedov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Obregon's guard.
Magamedov is looking to advance position but Obregon won't allow it.

Magamedov seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Obregon is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
