Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Genki Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyoden Umemoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Umemoto is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Dragon God. Genki Sudo has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genki Sudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kyoden Umemoto!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sudo tries a head kick but it misses.
Sudo fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Umemoto has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Sudo throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Sudo misses with an uppercut
and Umemoto counters with a low kick, right behind Sudo 's knee.
Umemoto takes a shot to the body in his stride.

Umemoto drives through and clinches with Sudo against the cage.
A head punch on the inside from Umemoto fails to land.
Umemoto looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Sudo has had enough of the clinch but Umemoto keeps him there for the moment.
Sudo has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Umemoto lands a hook to the side of the head.
Sudo is breathing heavily.
Sudo has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Umemoto prevents the takedown attempt.
Sudo tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Umemoto avoids it.
Sudo wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The referee is keeping an eye on Umemoto - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Umemoto lands with a left to the head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Umemoto lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Umemoto misses with a punch to the body.

A bit of stalling here from Umemoto.
Umemoto works on Sudo's body with a couple of short punches.
Umemoto is working Sudo over against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Umemoto - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Umemoto lands with a light punch inside.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sudo.
Sudo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Umemoto scores with a nice hook to the head.
Sudo's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Umemoto lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sudo backwards.

Umemoto blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Umemoto lands a body shot in the clinch.
Umemoto is struggling to control the position.
Sudo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Umemoto.

Sudo is rocked!

Oh Sudo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Umemoto creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Sudo with a big uppercut! Sudo tries to clinch up but Umemoto pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Sudo to the mat! Sudo covers up and Umemoto unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Kyoden Umemoto!
Kyoden Umemoto very nearly forgot to thank ONI amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
