Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chiun Remo!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Aleksandr Martynov and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
For You tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Remo was well out of range. Poor timing from For You.
Remo throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Remo's coach down at Cozad MMA St Petersburg was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Remo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Remo avoids a kick to the body.
A head kick misses from Remo.

For You darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
For You tries to stand and escape but Remo is controlling the position.
For You blocks the strikes from Remo.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Remo tries to roll over but For You keeps him under control.
For You wants to stand up but Remo has a hold of him and won't allow it.
Remo wants to control but For You is keeping busy.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Remo shoots for a takedown but For You saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
For You swats away the attempt to clinch by Remo.

For You dives in and scores a takedown into Remo's guard.
For You wanted to stand there but Remo had control of the position.

For You stands and steps away. Remo gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Remo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as For You sprawls well. For You wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Remo gets slowly back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Remo lands a nice hook to For You's body. For You takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

For You waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Remo.

Remo drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
For You keeping moving, preventing Remo from controlling successfully.
Remo must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
For You utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Remo drops back looking for a leg! For You is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and For You manages to kick Remo off! Remo jumps back into For You's guard.
For You on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if For You tries to get out of the position.

Remo in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Remo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
For You utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Remo tries to free his leg and advance position but For You is retaining full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Remo thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Remo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Chiun Remo will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Remo tries to close the distance and clinch but For You swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
For You throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A good leg kick by Remo.
Remo shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as For You sprawls well. For You wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Remo gets slowly back to his feet.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Remo is defended easily by For You.
For You is looking to land body kicks.

and Remo counters by moving into the clinch.
Remo stops a takedown attempt from For You.
Remo is looking for a takedown.

Remo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. For You tries to avoid it but Remo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag For You to the ground. For You escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Remo using the Thai plumb to throw knees but For You has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
For You prevents a takedown attempt there.
For You is trying to break the clinch but Remo is controlling him.
For You wants to get back to striking at distance but Remo won't allow it.
For You wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Remo has him pressed against the cage.
A right hook to the body lands for Remo.
Remo has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. For You is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Remo works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
For You tries to land a sweep but no joy.
For You wants to stand but Remo is controlling the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Remo wants to get up but he can't break For You's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

For You wants to control but Remo passes easily into half guard.

Remo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. For You doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Remo.
Remo wants to take a breather but For You is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Remo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Chiun Remo showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Remo dives in for a single leg takedown but For You sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Remo.
Remo jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as For You walks away with a smile on his face. Remo gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Remo counters with a big head kick but For You shrugs it off.

For You tries to land a front kick but Remo steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
For You looks for a takedown but Remo sprawls well.
Remo dives in and grabs For You's left leg, looking for a takedown. For You pushes down on Remo's head and hops out.

For You misses with a wild body shot.
Nice takedown defense from For You. No joy for Remo on that attempt.

For You has taken the fight to the clinch.
For You is pressed up against the cage. Remo has hold of a leg and is looking to drag For You down to the mat. For You avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Remo fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with For You, pushing him back against the cage.
For You is looking to break free of the clinch but Remo has double underhooks.
Remo tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. For You smiles and moves away.
Nice takedown defense from Remo. No joy for For You on that attempt.

Remo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

For You looks to score with a jab to the body but Remo is just out of range.
For You takes a kick to the side of the head.
Remo fails in his attempt to clinch.
Remo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? For You is fending him off so far but Remo persists. Nope, For You circles away and we're back to standing.
Remo shoots in looking for a takedown but For You manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Remo's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

For You closes the distance and clinches.

Remo is trying to push For You away but For You has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
For You is trying to force a seperation but Remo has the dominant position.

For You is working an open guard so Remo takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

For You shoots for a takedown but Remo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Remo is trying to drag For You to the mat but For You just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

For You tries to break free but Remo pushes him back against the cage.
Remo drops down looking for an ankle pick but For You pulls his leg out and moves away.
For You misses with a body kick.
Remo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but For You avoids it really well and circles away.

and Remo counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. For You is lucky that one didn't land flush.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
For You looks for the body kick but Remo saw that one coming.
For You throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Chiun Remo is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

I would just about give that final round to Chiun Remo.
Well Remo has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
