The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Aleksei Zolotukhin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shelton fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kogut digs a good body shot into Shelton's ribs.
Kogut uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Shelton.
Kogut scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Kogut misses with a wild combination.
Shelton misses the shot to the body.
Shelton shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kogut pinned against the cage. Kogut gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kogut scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Kogut works over Shelton's head and body with a nice combination.
Kogut should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Shelton fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Shelton avoids the head kick by Kogut.
Kogut moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Shelton takes one to the chin there.
Shelton takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Kogut fails to land with a series of punches.

Kogut digs a good hook to Shelton's body.
Shelton takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.

Shelton lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Shelton decides to stand and escape the position.
Shelton really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Stanislaw Kogut is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shelton shoots in but Kogut avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Shelton is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kogut sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Kogut is looking to score with low kicks.

Shelton takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Kogut looks winded!
Kogut throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Shelton's head.
Good leg kick by Kogut there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Kogut throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Kogut throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Shelton.
Shelton has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Kogut.

Shelton drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Shelton distracts Kogut with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.

Shelton drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Shelton seems to have locked his on tight now - Kogut screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Shelton, as he picks up the win!
