PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Punch Rockgroin II (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and J B (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
B looks to score with a jab to the body but Rockgroin II is just out of range.
B thows a body shot but no joy.
B uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Rockgroin II.
Rockgroin II throws a right and a left that B avoids nicely.
B connects with a single shot there.
B misses with an uppercut. Rockgroin II saw that one coming.
B cracks Rockgroin II with an open hand slap.

Rockgroin II clinches with his opponent.
Rockgroin II drops to a knee looking for a takedown but B gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rockgroin II goes for a takedown in the clinch but B prevents it.
B wants to get back to striking at distance but Rockgroin II won't allow it.
Rockgroin II landing some nice looking knees to the body.
B is pressed up against the cage. Rockgroin II has hold of a leg and is looking to drag B down to the mat. B avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Rockgroin II displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as B throws out the jab.
Rockgroin II throws a nice inside leg kick.
J B seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
B throws a hook to the side of Rockgroin II's head but Rockgroin II sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Rockgroin II will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

B throws a right and a left that Rockgroin II avoids nicely.
B looks gassed!
B throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
B scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Rockgroin II tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. B just stands there and leans against the cage.

B is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rockgroin II has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Rockgroin II thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Rockgroin II throws a right hand that B ducks under and follows up with a left that B also avoids with ease.

Rockgroin II throws a looping overhand right but B ducks down to avoid it.
J B is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Rockgroin II bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

B throws a body punch but Rockgroin II moves out of range.
B misses with a body punch
and Rockgroin II counters with a head kick. That will keep B thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
B misses with a few strikes there.

and Rockgroin II counters with a big head kick but B shrugs it off.

Well, if Rockgroin II is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
