The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez thuds his right hand into Biggs's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Velasquez lands with an overhand left.
Biggs throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Velasquez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Some bone on bone action there as Biggs checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Velasquez misses with a body punch
and Biggs counters with a nice uppercut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
A looping hook to the body misses from Velasquez. Biggs does a little dance to reset his feet.
Good standup being displayed there by Biggs as he connects with a hook.
Biggs scores with a nice right hand.
It looks like Juan Velasquez has been cut.
Biggs takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Velasquez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Velasquez is rocked!
Velasquez swings widly with a right hand
and Biggs counters with a double leg that slams his opponent to the canvas! Velasquez is in trouble here! Biggs pounds away until the ref steps in to end the bout!
