And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nuke pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.

Nuke decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Nuke is thwarting Gaines's attempts to control the position.
Nuke missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Gaines is looking for a sweep. Nuke is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Nuke controlling the pace.
Nuke stops Gaines from getting back to his feet.
Gaines is trying to maintain the position but Nuke is very close to passing his half guard.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Nuke lands a nice short elbow.
Gaines trying to hold on to Nuke's head to control him but Nuke postures up.
Nuke throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Nuke moves nicely into side control.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gaines is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gaines takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Gaines tries to bench press Nuke off him but Nuke keeps the position.
Nuke working the ground and pound.
Gaines tries to improve position but can't.
Gaines seems a little lost for a moment, as Nuke dominates the positioning.
Gaines tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Nuke looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Nuke misses with the ground and pound.
Nuke misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Gaines avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nuke.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nuke connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gaines some visible discomfort.
Sloppy strikes there by Nuke.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Gaines wants to control but Nuke postures up.
Nuke lands an elbow.

Gaines is rocked!
Nuke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
A big shot lands for Nuke! That's hurt Gaines! Will he recover? Nuke fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
