The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karenina avoids a punch combination nicely.
Dog ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Karenina moves away.
Dog swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Karenina slips under a jab.
Karenina closes the distance and clinches up with Dog, looking for a takedown. Karenina pushes Dog against the cage but Dog circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Dog throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

It looks like Anna Karenina has been cut.
Karenina slips a jab and a cross from Dog.
No luck for Karenina with that takedown attempt.

Karenina shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Karenina was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Dog struggling a bit here.

Karenina thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Dog is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Dog wants to get back to his feet but Karenina drags him back down.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Karenina just content to control the position.
Dog might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Dog is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Karenina asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Dog isn't going anywhere.
A lull in the action here as Karenina stalls from top position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Karenina tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dog swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Karenina moves forwards but Dog connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A looping hook to the body misses from Dog. Karenina does a little dance to reset his feet.
Karenina fails with a takedown attempt.
Hot Dog has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Anna Karenina.

Karenina forces Dog back against the cage and clinches.
Karenina is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Dog is defending well.
Dog tries to break the clinch but Karenina is controlling the position.

Karenina breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Dog throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Karenina bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Dog's head backwards.
Karenina shoots in looking for a takedown but Dog manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Karenina's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Dog avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Karenina fails with the takedown.
Dog dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Karenina is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Dog weaves into range and cracks Karenina right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Karenina goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Dog is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
