PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Randy Dragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rory Quince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dragon's entrance music is Whiskey in the Jar. A fine choice. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory Quince!
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Eddie Farnsworth and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fighters circling - Dragon throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Quince closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Dragon quickly recovers to half guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Dragon lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Quince has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Quince and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Quince closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

No joy there for Dragon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Quince feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Quince jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Dragon walks away with a smile on his face. Quince gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Dragon scores with a one two! Quince had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Dragon stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Randy Dragon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rory Quince.
