Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel McKillop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Burns (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McKillop's entrance music is Quasimoto - Green Power. A fine choice. Burns is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Psycho Killer- Talking Heads. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel McKillop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Peter Burns!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Glass and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
McKillop avoids the body shot from Burns.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The is referee keeping an eye on Burns - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

McKillop throws a sloppy head kick and Burns moves out of range easily.
McKillop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Burns's waist but Burns gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McKillop off to one side.
McKillop shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Burns pinned against the cage. Burns gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
McKillop stuffs the takedown attempt from Burns. Burns gets slowly back to his feet.

and Burns connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
McKillop shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Burns counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daniel McKillop. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Burns tightens his grip and picks McKillop up, before dumping him to the ground. McKillop manages to land in guard.

McKillop is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McKillop is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

McKillop has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

and Burns counters with an inside leg kick.
Burns is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Daniel McKillop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McKillop takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?

McKillop thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel McKillop.
I think McKillop has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
