Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rahkim Abdullah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Nix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Nix's choice of entrance music: Gorilla Militia by Bliss n Eso. Rahkim Abdullah has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nix keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Abdullah.

Abdullah ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Nix moves away.

and Nix counters with a shoot takedown. Abdullah fights it but they end up in guard.

Nix lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Nix is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Abdullah is just riding it out for now. Nix eventually gives up the hold.

Nix prevents Abdullah from improving his position.
Nix is keen to just control but Abdullah is a slippery customer.

A shot to the body from Abdullah misses

Nix is looking to advance position but Abdullah has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Nix is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Nix tries to lock up and control but Abdullah gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Abdullah prevents Nix from getting the reversal.
Abdullah is landing with some decent strikes but Nix is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rahkim Abdullah opened up his post fight interview with a scream to camera that he wants a title shot! Whether he deserves the shot will be up to the management of the organization, so I guess he'll have to wait and see.
