The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Welback tries for a takedown but Pakkanen circles away easily
and Pakkanen counters with a three punch combo that has Welback backing up. Welback nods at Pakkanen to acknowledge the strikes.
Pakkanen throws a hook to the side of Welback's head but Welback sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Welback doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Pakkanen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Danny Welback has been cut.
Welback seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Pakkanen throws a jab when Welback was well out of range.
Pakkanen lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Welback with a lazy takedown attempt
and Pakkanen counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Danny Welback. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Welback looks up at the clock. Bad move! Pakkanen lands a right hand from hell, dropping Welback. Pakkanen pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
