Shephard keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Griffith looking to score a takedown here. Shephard is defending well but Griffith drives through and ends up in Shephard's guard.
Shephard is looking to stand back up but Griffith counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Shephard.
Shephard tries to kick Griffith off but Griffith keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Griffith has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Shephard defend it? Griffith steps over the head and cranks it - Shephard is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Griffith!
