Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mustaffa Spliff (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Athan Stamatis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stamatis has chosen Lose Yourself as his entrance music. Spliff is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spliff tries to clinch but Stamatis moves away

and Stamatis counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Spliff is breathing heavily.
Stamatis stops Spliff from getting back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spliff is staying active underneath Stamatis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Stamatis not doing much here.

Athan Stamatis has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Stamatis throws a head kick that half lands.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd cheers as Stamatis lands an impressive looking overhand right. Spliff doesn't seem phased though.
Stamatis keeps Spliff at a distance using the push kick.
Nice body kick there by Stamatis.

and Stamatis counters with a left to the body.

Spliff tries to escape but Stamatis is in control.
You can see the frustration on Spliff's face as Stamatis controls the position.
Stamatis wants to lay and pray for a moment but Spliff keeps working.
Stamatis lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Spliff down.

Spliff is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stamatis scores with a couple of short elbows.
Oh Spliff is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Stamatis is looking to take a break and control but Spliff is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Spliff is letting Stamatis control him for a moment.

Stamatis scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Spliff is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Stamatis can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

A very excited looking Athan Stamatis rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
