Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nick Daaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryyty Kaapa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daaz comes to the cage accompanied by Meshuggah - Mind's Mirror. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Mauricio Rocha and Paulo Santos.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daaz moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Daaz throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Daaz wants to clinch up but Kaapa keeps it at a distance.
Daaz avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Daaz misses with the combination.
Daaz throws a nice looking combination but Kaapa bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Kaapa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kaapa has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Kaapa controlling from the full mount.
Kaapa takes Daaz's back.

Kaapa struggling to keep hold of the position.
Kaapa landing with strikes.
Daaz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kaapa on the ground.
Kaapa lands punches and elbows.
Kaapa has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Daaz's body.
Daaz is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Kaapa has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Kaapa is throwing strikes by Daaz counters by rolling into a better position. After a scramble, Daaz regains half guard.

Kaapa is working for a kimura but Daaz is defending it quite comfortably.

Daaz slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Daaz is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Kaapa stops Daaz from standing up.

Kaapa sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Kaapa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Daaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kaapa throws and elbow that misses. Daaz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kaapa's guard. Nice move by Daaz!
Kaapa tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Daaz stands and steps away. Kaapa gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Daaz misses with the combination.
Daaz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Kaapa looks gassed!
Daaz shoots in and drives through. Kaapa sprawls well.
Daaz finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Kaapa circles away from the clinch attempt.
Daaz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Kaapa's sensitive parts.
Daaz connects with a nice looking jab.
Daaz tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Kaapa counters with a nice body kick.
Kaapa shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Daaz but Daaz pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Daaz swings for the body but Kaapa moves out of range.
Daaz is looking to score with low kicks.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryyty Kaapa will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Kaapa gets the takedown into side control.

Kaapa decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Kaapa looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Daaz lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Kaapa backs up against the cage.

Kaapa is rocked!
Kaapa takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Kaapa is still on wobbly legs! Can Daaz finish him?Daaz punishes Kaapa's body with a nice straight punch.
Daaz drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks Kaapa right on the button. Kaapa goes down! Daaz follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Daaz gets the win via TKO!
