The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jacobs fakes the leg kick and cracks Grimm in the body.
Grimm has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jacobs.
Jacobs with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Jacobs fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Grimm on the side of the head.
Grimm misses with a body shot.
Jacobs lands a jab to the head.
Grimm scores with a head kick.
It looks like Russell Jacobs has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jacobs ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Grimm lands with a right hand.
Jacobs throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Jacobs gets a takedown into half guard.
Grimm is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Jacobs stalling away here and it's allowed Grimm to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Grimm is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Jacobs trying to control but Grimm is working from the bottom.
Jacobs stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Grimm swivels though and keeps the full guard.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Russell Jacobs hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Grimm slips a jab from Jacobs.
Grimm defending well as Jacobs loads up on a big left hand.
Jacobs ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Grimm moves away.
Jacobs staying out of range there.
Jacobs has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Jacobs throws a leg kick that is checked
and Grimm makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Jacobs really felt that one!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jacobs rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Grimm counters with a body kick that stops Jacobs in his tracks momentarily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Grimm smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Grimm connects with a body shot.
Grimm lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Jacobs head around and knocks him out cold! Grimm hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ben Grimm!
