The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
English is not content to let White control the position.
White has knee on belly and moves into mount.
English knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for White on the ground.
White is trying to control here but English has managed to regain half guard.
White wants to control but English is keeping him busy.
White trying to mount his opponent but English defends it.
White seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but English does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
White with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
White wants to take a breather but English is having none of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Perry White was stalling too much, according to the referee.

White changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. English looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
White has worked his way into a potential kimura here. English is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. White yanks on the arm and English is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by White.

After the fight, Perry White was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
