Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcos Pavil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcos Pavil has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, David Whyte!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Chris Saunders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pavil missing with a left hand there. Whyte was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Whyte throws a hook to the side of Pavil's head but Pavil sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Whyte pushes Pavil up against the cage in a clinch.
Whyte scores with a shoulder strike.
Pavil stalling the fight.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Whyte.
Whyte lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Pavil breaks from the clinch.
Pavil walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
No joy there for Pavil, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Whyte throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Whyte gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Whyte breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Pavil works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Whyte throws a series of punches but Pavil moves out of range.
A combination from Whyte does no damage.
Pavil displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Whyte throws out the jab.
Whyte drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
David Whyte seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pavil connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Pavil throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Whyte sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Whyte throws a head kick but Pavil moves out of range.

Whyte drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Whyte tries to bum rush Pavil with a series of wild strikes but Pavil uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Pavil moves out of range of the body kick from Whyte.
Whyte plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Pavil scores with the left hand. Whyte knows he should have avoided that one.
Whyte ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Pavil moves away.
Pavil lands a nice looking body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Pavil lands the left hand.
Whyte misses with a few strikes there.
Whyte misses with a double jab.
Pavil is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Whyte bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Whyte looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Pavil connects with a good right hand that stumbles Whyte. Whyte circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Pavil misses with a body shot.
Whyte tries to close the distance and clinch but Pavil swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pavil punishes Whyte's body with a nice straight punch.

Pavil feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Whyte sprawling to the canvas! Whyte rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Pavil finish him?!

Whyte is rocked!

It looks like David Whyte has been cut.
Whyte throws a wild body kick that Pavil sees coming a mile off.
Pavil moves away from the strike by Whyte.
Whyte defending well as Pavil loads up on a big left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pavil on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Pavil needs to keep his hands up - Whyte had a free shot at his head there.
Pavil throws an overhand right that lands on Whyte's shoulder, as Whyte tries to avoid the shot.
Pavil is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Pavil fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Whyte looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Pavil keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Whyte is still on wobbly legs! Can Pavil finish him?
Pavil lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Whyte falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!
