Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoel Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Calvin Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duran is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Seven devils - Florence. Duran has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Yoel Romero had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Romero plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

It looks like Calvin Duran has been cut.
Duran is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Romero.

and Duran connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Romero throws a sloppy head kick and Duran moves out of range easily.

Romero clobbers Duran with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

That has opened up Calvin Duran's cut even more.

and Duran makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Romero looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Romero keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Duran on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Romero. Romero obviously looking to wear him down.
Romero is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Romero misses with the body kick
and Duran counters with a slapping leg kick.
Duran takes one to the side of the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Romero throws a head kick but Duran moves out of range.
Romero will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Duran is breathing heavily.

Romero lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Romero sends Duran crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Romero is motioning to the referee to let Duran up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Romero.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Duran slips under a jab.
Romero throws a head kick but Duran moves out of range.
Romero plants his feet and throws a brutal three punch combo that sends Duran swiftly into unconsciousness! Right, left, right! Boom, boom, boom! Duran face plants, battered and bloodied! He might never be the same again after that finish!
