Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Army (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Aragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Army comes to the cage accompanied by Tiger Army - Incorporeal. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Army on the wrong end of a kick to the body.
Aragon fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Good leg kick by Army there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

We've been hearing reports that Army has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

and Army counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Aragon's guard now.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Army stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aragon swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Army uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aragon.

It looks like Tiger Army has been cut.
Army lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aragon circles away quickly and effectively.

Army closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Aragon's guard.
Aragon is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Aragon wants to sweep here but Army controlling him for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Army drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Aragon manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Army has Aragon in his guard.
Tiger Army overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Army is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aragon defends well.

That was a close second round but I would say that Tiger Army will probably get the nod.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
