Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ayo Edgar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bartek Gor!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Edgar swinging wildly here.
Edgar lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Edgar goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
It looks like Bartek Gor has been cut.
Edgar fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Gor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Edgar looking to hit a scissor sweep but Gor is one step ahead there.
Edgar can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gor controls the pace.
Gor thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Edgar knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gor on the ground.
Edgar wants to sweep here but Gor controlling him for the moment.
Gor pushes down on Edgar's leg and manages to get into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gor not doing much here.
Gor decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Edgar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Edgar misses with a few strikes there.
Edgar lands with a shot to the body.
Edgar cracks Gor with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Gor with a poor takedown
and Edgar counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Gor has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Edgar finds it's way round the side to connect with Gor's head.
Edgar lands with an overhand left.
Gor is rocked!
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gor misses with a takedown attempt
and Edgar counters with a series of strikes that really hurt Gor! The ref looks into his eyes and sees nobody home - he's called the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ayo Edgar!
