Invictus comes to the cage accompanied by Can't Be Touched. Lance Invictus could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ken Essss's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Invictus clinches.

Invictus breaks the clinch.
Essss shoots in but Invictus avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Invictus lands a body shot.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Essss.
Invictus fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Essss scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

It looks like Lance Invictus has been cut.
A chopping leg kick lands by Essss.
Essss takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Essss fails in his attempt to clinch.

Invictus rushes Essss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Essss lands with a short shot to the head.
A left hand lands to the body for Invictus.
Essss tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Lance Invictus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ken Essss.
Invictus lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Essss avoids a wild elbow strike from Invictus.
Essss doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Invictus scores a nice knee to the body.

Invictus breaks from the clinch.
Essss tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Invictus paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Invictus misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Invictus rushes Essss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Invictus scores with an uppercut up the middle.

Invictus escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Invictus scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Essss doesn't seem bothered though.
Essss displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Ken Essss seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A combination from Essss does no damage.
Invictus dives in for a single leg takedown but Essss sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Essss tries to break free but Invictus pushes him back against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Essss misses with some punches.
Essss avoiding damage as Invictus throws knees to the body.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Essss tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Invictus smiles and moves away.

Essss pushes Invictus up against the cage in a clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Essss is trying to push Invictus away but Invictus has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Essss is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Invictus is keeping busy.
Essss goes for a takedown attempt but Invictus pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Nice takedown defense from Invictus. No joy for Essss on that attempt.
Essss gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Invictus counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Essss looks winded!

Invictus rushes Essss and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Invictus prevents a takedown attempt there.

Invictus breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Essss finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Invictus's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Essss falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Lance Invictus!
