The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lott avoids a kick to the body.
A solid body kick from Britian.

Britian changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lott looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Britian wants to stand but Lott is controlling his arm.
Lott is trying to get back to his feet.
Britian tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
The strikes coming from Britian are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Britian throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Lott is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The ground and pound from Britian seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.

Britian swings around for an armbar but Lott sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Britian's guard.

Lott drops back looking for a leg! Britian is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Britian manages to kick Lott off! Lott jumps back into Britian's guard.

Lott decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Britian, up you get!

Britian shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Britian was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Britian looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Britian is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Britian throws an elbow but Lott slips to the side and avoids it well.

Britian in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Britian tries to move to mount but Lott blocks the move with his legs.
Britian misses with the ground and pound.

Lott sneaks out the side door and pushes Britian away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
Britian will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Britian throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Britian throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lott tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Britian is in Lott's guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lott preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Britian throwing strikes but missing.

Britian avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Britian trying to control the position from guard on top but Lott is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Britian really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Lott. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Lott has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Britian off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Britian looks to land a combination but Lott avoids it well.

Lott takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
A left and a right from Britian both land. Nice combination.

It looks like Jeromy Lott has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lott walks into a jab.

Lott is rocked!
Britian doesn't manage to clinch there - Lott circles away.
Oh Lott is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Britian lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Lott out cold! Lott is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
