Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Hando Kato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dennis Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wise gets caught flat footed, as Kato shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Wise really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Kato. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Wise controls Kato momentarily but Kato frees himself.
Kato stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wise swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Kato gets to his feet. Wise looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Wise has managed to clinch.

Kato breaks the clinch.
Wise is looking to clinch but Kato is avoiding it.
Wise looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kato is fending him off so far but Wise persists. Nope, Kato circles away and we're back to standing.
Kato misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wise tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kato paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Wise uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kato.

Wise fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kato, pushing him back against the cage.

Wise breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Kato is staying active underneath Wise, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Wise tries to stall but Kato uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Wise escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Kato clinches up with Wise and pushes him back against the cage.
Kato wants to break free but Wise has control.
Wise is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kato pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Kato will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wise up against the cage.

A close round but Dennis Wise will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Wise looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Kato cracks Wise with a right hand to the side of the head.

No joy there for Kato, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kato lands with a hook. Wise tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wise looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kato looks for a takedown but Wise sprawls well.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Kato moves in looking to clinch but Wise pushes him off.
Wise will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kato shoots in and drives through. Wise sprawls well.
Wise swings away with a body shot that misses

and Kato decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Wise's guard.
Kato won't allow Wise to get back to his feet.
Kato advances to half guard.
Wise wants to stand back up but Kato manages to pass into side control.
Wise is pushing Kato's head away, looking to escape. Kato manages to hold on to the position though.

Kato lands a decent elbow from side control.
Wise is letting Kato control him for a moment.
Kato has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Wise is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kato asserts his dominance and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
