The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Poon tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lloris was well out of range. Poor timing from Poon.
Poon shoots in looking for a takedown but Lloris manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Poon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Poon's coach down at Pitbull MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Poon's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Lloris swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Poon circles away from the clinch attempt.

The fight stays on the outside here - Lloris looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Lloris goes for a double leg but Poon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Poon continues to drive forward.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
