Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Russ Atkinson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Odis Durant!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Steven Brown and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Durant throws a series of punches but Atkinson avoids them all with ease.
Sloppy strikes from Durant. Those never looked like landing.

Durant takes the fight into the clinch.

Atkinson manages to break the clinch.
Durant defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Atkinson.
Durant throws a one two combo.


It looks like Russ Atkinson has been cut.
Atkinson shoots in but Durant avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Atkinson is trying hard to land a takedown here. Durant sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Russ Atkinson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Atkinson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Atkinson has Durant up against the cage in a clinch.
Atkinson avoiding damage as Durant throws knees to the body.

Atkinson manages to break the clinch.
Durant throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Atkinson fails with a takedown attempt.
A nice combination there by Durant.
Atkinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Durant rushes Atkinson and presses him up against the cage.
Durant wants to get back to striking at distance but Atkinson won't allow it.
Atkinson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Durant tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Atkinson avoids it.
Durant digs a right hand into Atkinson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Atkinson's gas tank.
Atkinson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Durant to keep the fight standing.

Atkinson breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Atkinson showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Durant.
Durant looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Atkinson shoots in looking for a takedown but Durant manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Atkinson's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Durant throws a right hand that Atkinson ducks under and follows up with a left that Atkinson also avoids with ease.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Durant lands a body shot.

Atkinson breaks the clinch.
Durant motions for Atkinson to come forward. Durant throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Durant misses with a series of wild punches.

Durant rushes Atkinson and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Durant makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A left hand lands to the body for Durant.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Durant lands a hook that snaps the head of Atkinson backwards.
Durant has Atkinson pressed against the cage.
A short left from Durant.
Durant working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Atkinson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Durant lands a shoulder strike.
Durant creates some distance for himselfand unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Atkinson's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Atkinson drops to his knees and Durant pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Odis Durant!
